Human Presents - Isaac Mizrahi

 Isaac Mizrahi SS RTW 2012
Sept. 15, 2011

Talk about "presentation". Adorned in giant bows tied around these ballgowns' busts, waists, and hips, you can't debate that these models look the wrapped goodies you anticipate of opening on the days leading to Christmas (in this case, Easter or Mother's Day). Therefore, anyone who wears these  should feel like a limited-edition Barbie doll (very glamorous and envy-inducing indeed), Marie Antoinette in a blast to the decades of Queens, Kings, and detrimental cosmetics, or as if people around the wearer are expecting some unraveling later on in the bedroom with a significant other...

Would you wear this?

Snake's Poison - Lanvin Spring/Summer 2012

Lanvin SS RTW
Sept. 30, 2011 - Paris

Slithering across the room, she provides an air of temptation to all whose heads turn. Everyone feels compelled to get onto their hands and to satisfy the alluring, stunning woman in black. She's the kind of chick that makes them cry from the bites - the girl that all desire for her paradoxical venom. She can poison and she can heal.
All who followed were ambivalent as to their thoughts on the angel. Little did they know they should have followed their instinct feeling of intimidation.
She does not fall in love.

Angry Birds @ Meadham Kirchhoff SS 2012

"Hold on, I just need a minute to unlock this next level," is a phrase any Angry Bird-possessed human being has insisted to a fellow companion at least once since the release of the Apple game in December 2009. Meadham Kirchhoff may have also "flung" themselves into the trend - check out their two designs above! Do you see the similarity between the fuzzy critters and the feathery skirts and shoes of the models? I don't think it's a mistake that the fashion line has "embezzled" some ideas from Apple's favourite fowls.

I approve the fact that this fashion line has used cute - but intimidating - birdies with a story line for inspiration. Let's get those pigs! Watch the narrative here.
